DIRECT YOUR DONATION TO:
- KASLO HOUSING SOCIETY GENERAL FUND
In this case, the Board of Directors of the Kaslo Housing Society will determine the best use of your donations in keeping with the mandate of the organization.
- COMMUNITY WORKING TO END HOMELESSNESS (CWEH)
The CWEH works with a Landlord, who leases to the KHS an accessible, affordable, adequate unit for at least 1 year. The KHS sublets this housing to an individual, who is currently living in inadequate accommodation in the community or who is highly vulnerable, based on a lack of an appropriate living situation. The CWEH Project is sustainable only through the financial contributions of community members.
- AFFORDABLE NEW HOUSING FOR FAMILIES
The KHS is actively engaged in pre-development work on a multi-family project for a South Kaslo property, for which it holds a 99 year lease. This long-awaited project has significant community interest and support.
The proposal is being designed to the criteria of the most recent BC Housing Community Housing RFP, which, we presume, will be repeated in late 2019 or early 2020.
Is a program for keeping Seniors in their Kaslo homes, while adding affordable rental units and neighbours.
