Help Shape the Future of Affordable Housing in Kaslo
Kaslo is facing a growing cost of living and housing challenge. More than half of households are under financial stress, and rising housing costs are beginning to affect food security, local businesses’ ability to retain workers, opportunities for young people and families to stay in the community, housing options for an aging population, and the long-term health of Kaslo as a whole.
Many residents, seniors, young workers, renters, and families are struggling to find housing that fits their needs and budgets.
The Kaslo South (Riverside) Project and other potential developments represent a major opportunity to explore new housing approaches, including smaller homes, clustered neighbourhoods, and locally built options that could reduce costs and strengthen community resilience.
This survey is being shared by the Kaslo Housing Society as an early step to understand what the community is open to exploring. There are no final decisions yet, and community input will help co-create the next phase.
Thank you for participating.
