Kaslo Housing Society Welcomes New Board Members and Launches Kaslo South Project
The Kaslo Housing Society is pleased to share two important updates with our community. We are welcoming new members to our Board of Directors and beginning early work on our newest housing initiative, the Kaslo South Development.
Welcoming New Board Members
We are grateful to welcome new directors to the Kaslo Housing Society Board. Our Board is made up of dedicated community volunteers who bring a wide range of experience, perspectives, and skills to support the Society’s mission.
Board members play a critical role in guiding long term strategy, overseeing housing projects, ensuring responsible stewardship of resources, and strengthening partnerships. As housing needs continue to grow in Kaslo and Area D, strong governance and local leadership are more important than ever.
We thank our new directors for stepping forward to serve and for their commitment to supporting secure, affordable, and attainable housing in our community. We also extend sincere appreciation to continuing Board members for their ongoing dedication and hard work.
Introducing the Kaslo South Development
Alongside Board updates, the Society is beginning planning work on its latest project, the Kaslo South Development.
Kaslo South is an early stage housing initiative focused on expanding long term affordable housing options within the Village of Kaslo. The project is being developed in collaboration with local government and community partners and is informed by local housing needs and community priorities.
At this stage, planning work includes exploring potential housing types, understanding site opportunities and constraints, and engaging with partners. More information will be shared as the project evolves and as key milestones are reached.
Looking Ahead
Together, new Board leadership and the Kaslo South Development represent an important step forward for the Kaslo Housing Society. We remain committed to working transparently, listening to community input, and advancing housing solutions that support people who live and work in Kaslo and Area D.
